Aberystwyth Lifeboat Family

This year the lifeboat family art group includes three seagoing crew members, one shop volunteer and one former crew member /coastguard. We take inspiration from the environment the lifeboat operates in. Sea scenes, wildlife, light, people of the sea, and of course - boats! Photography, ceramics, acrylics, 20% of any work sold donated to the RNLI.

Established 2004, Aberystwyth Printmakers aims to promote all forms of printmaking through regular exhibitions, talks and demonstrations. The print studio, located in Old College, provides facilities for relief printing, etching, lithography and screen printing. Members include students, amateur and professional artists from Mid & West Wales.

Abstract and semi-abstract paintings and mixed media drawings. My subject matter is drawn from early British Christianity; from Celtic holy places to medieval liturgical manuscripts. The notion of a ‘thin place’ is a concept that deeply interests me, particularly its application in Christian Orthodox iconography.

Anne's work is inspired by natural geometry, the elements, seasons and love of local wildlife. She paints vivid mandalas and sculpts in clay and plaster. This Art Trail exhibition features paintings in watercolour and acrylic, plus the Cletwr Community Mandala which is permanently sited outside. The exhibition continues through September.
