Jackie currently works in white earthenware clay mixing different techniques including hand building vessels and wheel thrown pots..
"I love creating beautiful, quirky, functional, affordable ware especially my little oil drizzlers, canape dishes,
Three legged mugs, tea pots, jugs etc.
The decoration is as important to me as the construction.
I hope the bold bright colours and mark making give a sense of fun and functionality, at the same time the shape and form are slightly reminiscent of the 70'ies and a bold bright colourful age !!
My work is ever changing as I discover new techniques, colour, shape and form, and inspiration luckily is everywhere!!!!
My current body of work has a bright bold floral theme for spring and summer.
Flowers have always played a big part in my designs and cottage garden themes fit perfectly in my life as I am lucky enough to live in beautiful West Wales in a cottage surrounded with fabulous views and unspoilt countryside.
All pots are functional and food safe.
I offer one to one pottery throwing sessions on the wheel most afternoons it is great fun and costs 30.00 per person max class size 2.
