Poetry and fiction of landscape, love and loss
Sailor and librarian, navigator and researcher, teacher and trainer, and – always – a traveller. Although born in Sussex, Chris has lived in Wales most of his life – for the last fifty years in the country, farms and hills near Tregaron. All this – and more – has shaped the poems which reflect the joys and tragedies that life brings. He is currently working on works of fiction as well as a second collection of poems. His first volume, Mostly Welsh, was published by Y Lolfa in April 2019 and is available from them or on Amazon as is his first work of fiction - The Dark Trilogy - published in September 2022. He has also published an e-pamphlet of Brexit poems - Braiding Brexit: a Lemming's-eye View and a further pamphlet, Book of the Spirit. A collection of short stories - When I Am Not Writing Poetry - was published in February 2023 and a further collection of poetry - Lost Time - in March. A new work of fiction - Trystan - is expected soon.
