Weaving Wild is the culmination of a year spent exploring natural dying and creative knot work.
Alice's love for the land and wild places is woven in to her work using wild dying, foraging and natural materials to create beautiful Macramé pieces.
A self-taught Macramé artist Alice has been teaching and making Macamé for the past six years. Over the last year she has exhibited at the Minerva Gallery in Llanidloes as part of the Wool & Willow festival and has been successfully selling her work in the local towns of Aberystwyth & Machynlleth.
Alice grew up near Aberystwyth and studied Art & Design in Coleg Ceredigion. A painter and illustrator Alice came to Macramé through her love of textiles and wanting to create practical pieces as well as works of art.
Wild dying has been a natural progression, as it weaves her love of nature walks and foraging in to her artistic practise. Discovering more about the plants and trees around her and how to put them to use in her work has been a pleasure and joy.
