Ruth Brace The Gardening Artist

I am a mixed media artist and printmaker working mainly with acrylic, watercolours, specialist inks and hand-printed paper. I sell original framed and mounted artwork, linoprints, greetings cards and a range of hand decorated gift items including jewellery. I moved to Ceredigion in 2017 and I live surrounded by trees, fields, glorious hillsides, big skies and sea views. My work is inspired by all things nature and the beautiful land and seascapes of West Wales. I use botanical and monoprinting techniques to produce unique handprinted papers and these form the foundation of most of my work. I often combine different processes and media to create semi-abstract mixed media artwork. Free motion embroidery and hand stitch add a further dimension. I'm excited to be opening my new studio during Art Trail Open Studios 2023, where my sketchbooks, work in progress & original finished artwork will be on display. There is limited on road parking at the studio. Please park in the free village park & ride car park. Turn right out of the car park, walk up the hill, at the corner head straight on, onto the small tarmac lane. The studio is ahead of you on the corner as the road bends to the right.
